Is Dr K's Clinic open?
05/01/21Update on opening:
My clinic is in Wales not England. I have been in Alert Level 4 from 19th December 2020.
Here are some FAQs:
ARE YOU OPEN?
As a Registered Medical Doctor I am obliged by the GMC (the regulator of doctors in the U.K.) to provide a certain standard of care to my patients. The law says that I am still able to continue to provide face-to-face medical services during all lockdowns. I have scaled back what is available and can explain what this means during your telephone consultation (see below).
Since July I have been protecting those who attend with meticulous PPE, hygiene and air exchange measures that exceed current Welsh Government guidance and are in accordance with published medical standards on ventilation.
CAN I BOOK AN APPOINTMENT?
I have blocked off all face to face bookings but can offer telephone/ video consultations (see booking tab on my contact me page on my website here) to assess whether it is appropriate for me to see you in person. For example, I have been approached by patients who have had unsatisfactory treatments elsewhere and are in a state of distress, and in such circumstances it is reasonable to assume I will be able to see and help you. If I have diagnosed a medical condition it is also reasonable to assume your appointment will go ahead. I can also continue to offer skin care video consultations and products can be ordered through my online concierge and delivery service.
WHEN ARE YOU RESUMING YOUR NORMAL SERVICE?
At the time of writing, this is unknown. As well as following Welsh Gov guidance I have also been keeping abreast of the situation locally and regionally through my medical contacts. I shall update my website blog page, my booking tab, my business details on google and my social media platforms if things change.
Please be patient, my availability for communication is currently limited as I have returned to the NHS to help with the covid response.
