Treatments for darkness under the eyes
08/11/22Wow, hasn’t she got beautiful eyes? For those who suffer from dark shadows or “tired eyes” here are the results from 9 months of in clinic treatment and specially selected skincare! I love to see patients looking and feeling more confident when the darkness under the eyes have lifted.
There are a large range of good eye creams out there but it can be an expensive mistake to buy the next “under eye wonder lightening cream” without knowing what you are looking for.
In clinic treatments include specific peels or micro needling suitable for the delicate skin under the eyes. Homecare however is critical for success. We know that when disordered pigment has effectively “gone to sleep” for 12 months, it is less likely to re-emerge.
If you don’t want to put in the hours of researching it all yourself just see a dermatology doctor who can advise on scientifically proven treatments and ingredients that WILL work. For those who want to research your own skincare, here are a list of ingredients with varying potency that will help:
SPF 30+
Hydroquinone
4-n-butylresorcinol
Niacinamide
Azeliac acid
Tretinoin
Vitamin C
Tranexamic acid
Arbutin
Retinol
